The Grave House was once again the site of a family re-union of sorts on October 15. Three siblings – a brother and two sisters hailing from Vermont, Kansas and Washington state – converged on their ancestral home. They are direct descendants of John II and Elizabeth Foote, the first inhabitants of the House. Directors provided an in-depth tour and discussed the history of the Grave family in the context of early East Guilford and Madison.
The word is getting out that the doors are always open to Grave family members. In turn, these special visitors have always expressed great appreciation of the Foundation’s work.
